Bookkeeper – Anthem, AZ

 

Our company is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to assist in managing our day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping requirements. Confidentiality, excellent organizational skills and accuracy are important qualifications for this position, as well as good customer relations and the ability to communicate clearly. The ideal candidate for this position is a skilled multi-tasker, is reliable, detail oriented, is committed to consistently meeting deadlines, organized, self-starting, thrives under pressure, and is a motivating and positive presence on the team. The bookkeeper works alongside the controller and is responsible for facilitating the efficient and accurate delivery of high-quality data entry and bookkeeping services.

 

This person will work across all types of applications including Dropbox, Quickbooks Online, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Xero, Receipt-bank and Hubdoc.

  

Role and Responsibilities:

 

  • Strong understanding of financial statements

  • Must be able to reconcile credit card and bank accounts

  • Match receipts with bank transactions

  • Proactively identify potential challenges, problem solve and communicate issues to relevant clients

  • Must have a working knowledge of payroll and familiar with journal entries

  • Prepare payroll reconciliations

  • Process Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable

  • Comfortable with closing year-end and 1099 reporting

  • Proactively identify potential challenges, problem solve and communicate issues to relevant clients

  • Develop monthly financial statements, including cash flow, profit and loss statements and balance sheets

  • Balance and maintain accurate ledgers

  • Coordinate delivery of final accounting files

  • Work with vendors and agencies to get answers

  • Foster a productive atmosphere among team members that is conducive to creating superior creative and technical executions

 

Basic Qualifications (required to be considered):

 

  • Associate’s Degree in Accounting or related field

  • 2-5 years’ experience working in an accounting or finance agency

  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks 

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Suite of products. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides)

  • Creative and strategic thinker

  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills

  • Previous experience in accounting, finance, or other related fields

  • Ability to prioritize and multitask

  • Strong organization, research and problem solving skills

  • Deadline and detail oriented

  • Ability to self-start and work well independently as well as collaborate favorably in a team environment

  • Able to adapt to ever changing technology

  • Strong relationship building skills

  • Experience in preparing sales tax returns is a plus

Accounting Assistant – Anthem, AZ

 

Our company is looking for an experienced Accounting Assistant who will be capable of learning our systems with minimal supervision.

He or she should be extremely organized, detail oriented, self-starting, thrives under pressure, is a motivating and positive presence on the team and have great time management skills. The ideal candidate for this position is a skilled multi-tasker, is reliable and is committed to consistently meeting deadlines. The accounting assistant works alongside the controller and bookkeepers and is responsible for facilitating the efficient and accurate delivery of high-quality data entry to accomplish interdepartmental goals and quotas.

This person will work across all types of applications including Dropbox, Quickbooks Online, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Xero, Receipt-bank and Hubdoc.
 

  

Role and Responsibilities:

 

  • Prepare and fact-check invoices before sending them to customers

  • Must be able to reconcile credit card and bank accounts

  • Controlling correspondence and email filtering

  • Keeping all files organized and current

  • Scan, file and log accounting documents

  • Work with vendors and agencies to get answers and clarifications where needed

  • Proactively identify potential challenges, problem solve and communicate issues to relevant team

  • Coordinate delivery of final accounting files

  • Foster a productive atmosphere among team members that is conducive to creating superior creative and technical executions

  • Maintain and update general ledger and sales journal

  • Request and process W-9 forms from new vendors

 

Basic Qualifications (required to be considered):

 

  • Associate’s Degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent experience working in an accounting 

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Suite of products. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides)

  • Experience with QuickBooks

  • Excellent 10-key skills

  • Typing speed minimum 50 WPM

  • Proficiency with Windows operating system

  • Creative and strategic thinker

  • Ability to prioritize and multitask

  • Strong organization, research and problem solving skills

  • Able to adapt to ever changing technology

  • Deadline and detail oriented

  • Ability to self-start and work well independently as well as collaborate favorably in a team environment

  • Strong relationship building skills

  • Advanced written and oral communication skills
